I Knew You Before We Met is about the struggle to reconnect after a long separation. It explores friendship and platonic love. In March 2024, V.V.I.A. reunited in a cabin in the woods of Denmark. At the time, they didn’t know what the album would become; they only knew they wanted to create something together after being apart for so long. Yet, both internal and external challenges made the process difficult. The process turned into a desperate situation, but it also unfolded as a love story about two people striving to rediscover something that once was and hoping to find it again.
