Live Agenda: commuter Guilt Eraser album release show w/ special guest Tony Bluebird, Piraeus Club Academy, January 18th

The highly anticipated debut album by commuter was released in October 2024 (digitally and on colored vinyl), marking a bold new chapter in the evolution of their sound. The album, which has already received glowing reviews from the local press, explores themes such as survival in a decaying society, while also delving into the emotional weight of time passing more rapidly as we grow older, as well as the search for our identity in an ever-changing world. The city of Athens, with its unique energy and contrasts, serves as the backdrop for these narratives.

commuter started as a musical project by Dionysis Koutavas (vocals/guitar) in Athens in 2019, with a primary influence from post-punk sound, drawing inspiration from both sides of the Atlantic. In October 2021, the project transformed into a full band, and a year later they released their debut self-titled EP, followed by their debut album Guilt Eraser two years later. Known for their energetic performances, they offer a raw, noisy version of post-punk, channeling the anxiety of everyday life in a society slowly collapsing. With a direct approach and strong live energy, they have made their mark with performances in Greece and abroad (Hungary, Turkey) and have shared the stage with significant local (The Steams, Deaf Radio) and international names (Dry Cleaning, Protomartyr, Unschooling, SONS).

The members ofcCommuter are: Dionysis Koutavas (vocals, guitar), Spilios Kakkas (bass), Dimitris Koutsoulis (drums), and Kostas Barianis (guitar).
